Lent at St Francis Church
As the days lengthen we mark the forty days of preparation for Easter by letting more light into our hearts and lives with a season of prayer and fasting, good works, charitable giving and paying attention to our Christian discipleship.
Morning & Evening Prayer daily on weekdays at 8.30am and 5pm
Taizé Worship in church on alternate Mondays @ 6.30pm 23rd February, 9th March and 23rd March
Tuesdays in Lent Soup Lunches supporting Christian Aid @ 12.30pm
Tuesdays @ 6.30pm Holy Eucharist
Fridays @ 5pm Stations of the Cross
Lentscapes course 7.30pm in church Monday 23rd February, Tuesday 3rd March, Thursday 12th March, Monday 16th March and Tuesday 24th March. We have chosen a different evening each week to try and ensure that everyone who would like to join us will be able to do so. The course will also be run as a hybrid session so people can participate online - you will find a link and more information here

The Church of England is marking Lent with a variety of resources to support Christian discipleship called Draw Near, including signing up for a daily e-mail reflection here and there are more ideas with an eco-twist on the diocesan website here
