Mothers’ Union 150-year celebration

Mary summer founded Mothers’ Union in 1876 and this year is the 150^th anniversary. In this time, it has become a global Christian organisation operating in 84 countries with 4 million members worldwide. Members work together to support communities aiming to empower women and strengthen family life.  This year a capsule is moving to every diocese in the country and collecting a prayer from each. In May it arrives in Newcastle. The Newcastle President, Margy Tasker Brown is bringing it to St Francis at 7.30pm on Thursday 14^th May and she will talk and answer questions about the work of Mothers’ Union.
