Notice of Annual Meeting & Revision of Electoral Roll

Notice of Annual Meeting and Revision of Electoral Roll

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting will take place at 11.15am on Sunday 26th April and this means that the revision of the Electoral Roll started on Thursday 12th March and the roll closed on Thursday 9th April. The electoral roll is the list of people entitled to vote in elections for the Parochial Church Council and for Deanery Synod.

The new edition of the roll will be puiblished in the church porch and the roll will re-open after the annual meeting. To join the roll you must be at least 16 years of age, baptised and either resident in the parish or have been a regular worshipper for at least six months.  To fill in a form contact the Electoral Roll Officer Jenny Germain call 0191 266 5144 or email jenny_germain@talk21.com or pick up a form from the back of church.

At St Francis a third of the PCC are eligible for re-election every three years, and Deanery Synod members are also elected for a three year period. We also elect church wardens for the coming year.

The roll is completely re-compiled every seven years, but this year it is a simple revision, so if you're already on the roll, you do not need to do anything!

Planned Giving and Gift-Aid

All members of our Planned Giving Scheme have now received a letter thanking them for their gifts in the past tax year, together with a statement confirming their total gift, and a gift-aid statement.

I will be at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting on Sunday morning and will be available to answer any queries from existing or potential Planned Giving members regarding our Scheme.
