Green Tip                                                    Avoiding micro-plastics in the kitchen 

Micro-plastics have been found in everything from drinking water to seafood and our bodies. Although it is not clear from early research how they might affect us, it cannot be a good thing. Cook without plastic by using wooden spoons and glass or wooden chopping boards. Also, do not reheat food in plastic containers, instead use a pan on the hob or glass in the microwave (not metal of course!!). Avoid cling film in any situation and try not to re-use thin plastic water bottles. Oh dear, the list could go on!
