Heaton Festival 2022         

Heaton Festival was on Saturday 25^th June with the theme Let’s Reconnect Heaton!  Heaton Festival welcomed more than 10,000 people of all ages to discover more about Heaton and what it has to offer. It is a biannual celebration of our neighbourhood with great food, beautiful art, fun sports activities and lots of amazing music – all produced right here in Heaton and organised by Heaton Churches Together.  This year the event started with a Peace walk from St Theresa’s Church and St Francis Church organised the first ever festival Eco Zone. This included recycling, a vegan café, summer festival music, our own Eco Church group, an electric car, local a allotments stall, recycled glass and fabrics, the Townswomen’s Guild, Climate Action Newcastle, Urban Green beelines project and others!!
