Christians at Newcastle Pride 2026    

Pre-march Prayer Service.

 Saturday 25th July at St James’s United Reformed Church, NE1 8JF

 9.30am for a 10am ecumenical service to pray together followed by refreshments and time to meet with one another before setting off.

 March sets off at 12 noon from the Civic Centre. Various Christian groups will be marching!

Sunday 26th July. 9pm (after last act on main stage)

Pride Vigil. Pride Main Stage, Pride Arena, Times Square.

 The inclusive final event on the Northern Pride mainstage is a candlelit vigil,a moment to pause and reflect as a community hosted by Northern Lights MCC (no ticket required if you are only attending the vigil).

Pride Prayer Trail: You are warmly invited to explore a reflective trail around the Cathedral (until 26th July), co-created with Newcastle Diocese’s LGBTQI+ Chaplaincy. It offers space for contemplation, reflection, and deeper understanding in the lead-up to and during Newcastle Pride.

The Cathedral will also be open as a Sacred Quiet Space with LGBTQI+ Chaplains on 25th July 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm for reflection, prayer and stillness within the celebrations.
