Taizé Services in 2026

Taizé is an ecumenical community in south east France with a particular ministry for and among young people.  Thousands visit every year from all over the world, brought together by the spirituality of the community that lives there.  

As well as its international character, an important part of Taizé worship is meditation, silence and beautiful chants sung many times in different languages, sometimes in Latin, but in a way that draws people into silence and reflection.  This could be the perfect antidote to a busy day and our series on alternate Mondays will last just half an hour from 6.30pm - 7.0pm and feature stillness, silence, simplicity and music - ideal at the end of the first day of a working week!

St. Francis Church, Cleveland Gardens, NE7 7QH   (37 or 38 bus, or Longbenton metro).  We welcome all people, people of all faiths & none.

We meet on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month, except bank holidays!
