Celebrating 70 years of St Francis Church's Living Stones!

In October 2023 we will celebrate 70 years since the consecration of our church building. Some years ago, in a project masterminded by Doreen Richardson with Marie Render and others, kneelers were made, and these represent many of the people worshipping at St Francis over this time. We thought it would be interesting to learn more about the people behind the kneelers and hear people’s memories and stories, and also to record them for posterity!

The plan is to highlight a few kneelers each week so that all of them take their turn in the spotlight by the 70^th Anniversary.  They will be featured each week in the paper and email bulletins and on display at Parish breakfast with a file to capture your comments and stories.  We started on the weekend of 9^th October last year and will go right through to Francis-tide this year!
